Imbalance — Reflections from My Previous Exhibition
The word imbalance brings a flood of reflections.
My immune system has been out of balance, often causing physical pain. I’ve experienced bouts of iritis, making my eyes sensitive to light and affecting my vision. Gradually, I began to feel as if I were short-circuiting—losing energy and drive.
This imbalance sparked an ongoing stream of imagination. Even now, it hasn’t stopped. The discomfort and unease brought on by minor illnesses have become, in a way, another form of motivation.
Each time I sketch my anxious emotions, I feel a stronger urge to paint them on large canvases—to let the unease spread until everything returns to calm once again.
Like the moment before a storm, when change is passively unfolding, unease spreads quietly—only to settle into stillness when the storm finally arrives.
