In the midst of this drifting, I aspire to be a steady, unshakeable mountain, just like people who come to this diverse city with their own stories, resembling drifting mountains for various reasons.

Leaving behind my familiar life in Hong Kong, I started experiencing new things and seeing life from different perspectives. The noise and busyness of my old life often drowned me in endless thoughts, messing up how I saw things and making it hard to connect with the present moment.

Desiring a fresh start, progress, and significant changes, it was surprising that inner feelings and thoughts remained relatively unchanged. The phrase “Seeing mountains as not mountains, seeing water as not water” captures the idea that life appears different in various stages. Initially perceived as mere landscapes, closer examination unveils richness, unknowns, and numerous possibilities. Acknowledging life’s multiple phases, taking the time to pause and contemplate becomes a valuable opportunity.

Here begins a new chapter where I use my hands to blend thoughts and feelings, creating a journey within myself.
